Bryr

About

Bryr is a collaboration app created for caregivers and family members who support individuals dealing with aging, illness, or cognitive impairments. The app helps families stay informed, organized, and reassured by centralizing care-related information. For its market launch, Bryr required a complete redesign—focusing on improved onboarding, streamlined user flows, and expanded features.

Research

I began the process with a UX audit of the existing app to evaluate the onboarding experience and overall user journey. I reviewed user survey data to identify pain points and prioritize areas for improvement. Additionally, I conducted a competitive analysis, comparing Bryr to similar products on the market to benchmark functionality and usability.

Design

Due to the sensitive nature of the data handled by Bryr, the onboarding flow had to meet legal requirements while remaining user-friendly. I created a clear, step-by-step onboarding process that guides users through each stage, ensuring transparency and trust. I introduced icon-based visuals to make account setup and collaboration more intuitive. To simplify care coordination, I designed streamlined diaries, calendars, and to-do lists with smart prompts for easier content creation. Key information was made quickly accessible from the home screen to support daily use.

Development

Throughout the development phase, I worked closely with developers to test new features and evaluate them in beta releases. I provided regular design reviews and feedback to ensure accurate implementation and consistency with the overall UX strategy.

Result

The redesigned app was launched based on my design and recommendations. It is currently being marketed in Sweden, targeting families and relatives of senior individuals who require daily support.
